Purpose:
phpdesignworks.com is a way for me to showcase my portfolio, create and test new Flash techniques, and expand my web design capabilities. Learning is such an important part of design. If we are not willing to learn, then how are we, as designers, ever going to successfully communicate our clients message or information correctly.
I will do WIT (Whatever It Takes) to make sure the job is done right.

Perspective:
As a senior graphic/web designer, I have an impeccable eye for typography, strong knowledge of prepress production, printing processes, and I am becoming more involved with designing for the internet. The ever changing medium known as the internet has seen exciting developments with the implementation of Flash. The Flash environment allows the designer to control how the user experiences content unlike html. Although html is the shell that delivers most flash content, more and more content is being designed in flash because of its underlying programing language ActionScript. Dynamically provided content, whether it be data, images or video, has a distinct advantage being displayed through Flash.

Looking to the Future:
How information is perceived, and how much of an impact it has on communication is changing at an ever increasing rate. As more companies try to get their message across to as many people as possible, the ability to utilize both print and web mediums will get more blurred. Being able to design for both will be and is critical to design success.
